Will this truck make
you the most powerful rural firefighter in America?
The Foam Dragon is a Rural Attack pumper tanker, built on a new Spartan or HME chassis (formerly on a remanufactured chassis—see photo above), with either a new or remanufactured pump that is specially plumbed to deliver enormous volumes of suppressant (1250-1500 gpm) from the tank through hand lines with just a 3-4 man crew. It has a 2000-2500 gallon polypropylene tank; new or completely rebuilt, UL certified, 1250-1500 gpm pump with all new plumbing, controls and gauges; an ultra-fast preconnected drafting capability that allows easy switching from tank to draft and which can be operated by one fire fighter; a FoamPro 2002 "push button" foam system that delivers foam solution to multiple discharges; and a new aluminum body with full height, rescue-style cabinets on each side. The apparatus can come with or without Newton dump valves; and, of course, the truck can be built without a foam system (although we do not recommend this).
